

So I came here in June of 1951, fresh out of school, I wasn’t married at the time. So I guess prior to coming here, my having been raised in Portland, and that’s where I went to school, my extended experiences were rather limited. At the time, it was operated by General Electric Company, and this was-I started work here in June of 1951. I was offered a tech grad position on the site here. I graduated from the University of Portland in 1951 with a degree in physics. To start us off, would you tell us maybe some of your life up, before you came to this area?įreshley: Well, I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon.
